HACTC Mission Statement

The mission of the Heart of America Correctional & Treatment Center (HACTC) is to assure public safety through supervision of offenders placed in the custody of the HACTC through the courts or through contracts with other agencies.

Organizational History

The Heart of America Correctional & Treatment Center (HACTC) has been in operation since late 2006. HACTC is a grade 1 correctional facility that can house up to 142 inmates. We house both adult male and female inmates through a number of contracts with various entities.

We have boarding contracts with the United States Marshal Service (USMS) and the North Dakota Department of Corrections (NDDOCR), multiple counties in the Central regions of North Dakota, along with cities in the area.

HACTC houses both sentenced and presentenced inmates. We utilize an objective classification system in determining appropriate housing assignments for inmates. Male and female inmates are kept physically & visually seperate from each other.
